Mullard 5-10 Valve Amplifier
This is an amplifier I built my self. The circuit design is the well known Mullard 5-10. I designed the chassis on a Cad package and a friend from work got it laser cut out of stainless steel. The ends were turned from burr elm and the knobs from oak. The transformers were supplied by VVT as a kit. It seems to work well apart from interference from my daughters network link through the mains supply which no amount of filtering will remove. I suspect that the mains transformer needs an electrostatic screen between the primary and secondary windings.
The EF86s at the front were too close to the transformer and picked up hum, so I shielded them with a piece of steel tubing.
